Studio Owner & Director – Miss Jessica
Dancing has always been an important part of Jessica’s life! Starting at age 4, she began lessons in ballet, tap and jazz under the tutelage of Miss Norma Broderick of Broderick’s Dance Studio. Jessica would continue dancing and also student teaching for Broderick throughout high school. While pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education at the College of Saint Rose, Jessica danced for the Golden Knights Dance Club focusing on hip hop and lyrical. Upon graduating and returning home, she immediately returned to Broderick’s Dance Studio and began working as an assistant dance teacher and choreographer. Jessica also became a certified Zumba instructor and began teaching classes at Oswego Alliance Church and the Fulton CYO. In 2012, she became director of the dance program for the Jewish Community Center of Syracuse. Then in 2013 Miss Jessica felt called by God to combine her heart for God and love of dance to open a Christian dance studio. Miss Jessica has continued her dance education in Cecchetti Ballet methodology since 2017 and is a Cecchetti ballet teacher member instructor. She is certified to teach grades 1-4 of the Cecchetti Ballet Methodology. Miss Jessica’s passion is to use her gifts to glorify God and teach kids how to do the same!

Dance Teacher Miss Julie Grasso
A love for dance was instilled in Julie from a young age as she pursued ballet, tap, jazz and point at Studio C under the instruction of Carolyn Dehm and Stefanie Standish. She had the opportunity to work with young dancers as a student-teacher throughout high school giving her an appreciation for dance instruction. During college she taught pilates fusion classes for Gordon College & Gordon Conwell students. Julie went on to complete a M.S.Ed from The College of Saint Rose before returning to Oswego and working as a speech language pathologist. She had the pleasure of dancing in Creation Studio’s 2021 recital (right before her first daughter was born!) Julie and her husband now have two daughters. Besides the joy of raising them, she enjoys serving in church and worship ministry. Miss Julie is delighted to join Creation Studio, to “praise His name with dance…(Ps 149:3)” and point students to the mission to glorify God with your gifts.
Acro Teacher Miss Elise Mayer
Elise has always had a passion for gymnastics and dance! She started gymnastics at the age of 4, as she was doing tricks throughout the house. From there she joined the competitive gymnastics team, and continued to compete until college. Elise competed for three different gymnastics gyms, with the final one being at Head Over Heels in Vestal, NY. She was also able to share her passion for gymnastics by being a gymnastics and tumbling coach for 5 years at Head Over Heels. Alongside gymnastics, Elise was a competitive dancer for 6 years at The Dance Shoppe in Vestal, NY. Her favorite style of dance was jazz, but she also competed in lyrical and tap dances. Elise is currently a teacher at Oswego Christian Community School, as God called her to stay in Oswego after earning her Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education at SUNY Oswego. Teaching in the classroom as well as dance and gymnastics allows Elise to continue to use the gift God has given her for His glory.
Dance Teacher Miss Krista Cool
Miss Krista has been dancing since she was four years old. She began dancing at Runions Dance studio under Ruth Devendorf and Jill Devendorf Pitcher. When old enough, she began student teaching. She brought dancing with her in as many areas of her life as possible, from theatre to the dance team in high school. She continued dancing through college at SUNY Oswego and there, began choreographing with Del Sarte Dance Club as well as at Runions Dance Studio. She accepted Jesus in college and through Creation Studio, learned that she could combine her love for God and her love for dance! While trained in ballet and jazz as well, Miss Krista has had a deep love for tap dancing for as long as she can remember. She is so excited to join Creation Studio to teach tap!
